Miles was the first IG that I fostered for IGCA Rescue and my third IG (yeah – I kept him – I couldn’t let him go). We think he was about five years old when we adopted him from the Humane Society in Council Bluffs, Iowa for IGCA. He was heartworm positive, had severe periodontal disease (that required the extraction of nineteen of his teeth), hypothyroid, hairless, thin and had nails that were terribly long. And he was wonderful. He was a gentleman to the core. I think in his previous life, he was probably a very stuffy English Butler!
